Innovations in Long Term Care

Long Term Care has turned into a growth industry. As baby boomers start to think about their retirement years, most agree that innovative settings, rigorous wellness programs, short “LTC” visits for rehabilitation and excellent customer service are areas where this generation is not going to be willing to compromise. Increasingly, LTC consumers are demanding service and quality, and stays that are as short as possible so they can return home. This program highlights three area approachs to improving service, retention and transition from an acute setting.



This program is sponsored by the GRQC Healthcare Sector Team, Host Facility Monroe Community Hospital, and Host Group: Senior Care Excellence, a group of regional quality professionals and others interested in LTC quality and innovation. The group meets at Thompson Health’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center on the 1st Friday of every month at 8:30 am and is open to interested professionals.
