Starting a Grassroots Quality Network

The Program

Key roles of a LSS Black Belt or Green Belt are to network, mentor and teach others. Learn how a small group of Quality practitioners, with a passion for quality, created an informal quality network that has been instrumental in driving quality improvement at New York State’s largest nonprofit health plan. Also, learn how this network is partnering with Human Resources to provide internal and external quality training and post–training application experiences, to empower the culture and drive operational improvement.

To be discussed:
1. The role quality plays in changing cultural paradigms – changing the culture one employee at a time

2. Introduction of Lean Six Sigma - the importance of creating post-training experiences for participants

3. Applying Lean Six Sigma in a service/transactional environment

4. Key lessons learned on the continuous journey
