Promoting performance excellence in businesses and organizations across Greater Rochester.

Twelve Organizations Honored at the Greater Rochester

Quality Council 2022 Performance Excellence Awards

Over 200 connoisseurs of performance excellence gathered at Locust Hill Country Club on October 11 to celebrate the winners of the GRQC 2022 Performance Excellence Awards. Twelve organizations submitted a total of 21 award applications in three award categories: Organizational Excellence, Customer Experience and Team Excellence.

“This year’s honorees highlight best-in-class practices used to strengthen performance in their own teams and organizations,” said Michael Caceci, Chair, GRQC. “The combined impacts of these efforts result in major quality and performance improvements in healthcare, non-profit, and business sectors across the Greater Rochester and Central New York regions.”

Brian Reh, CEO of Gorbel, Inc. delivered the keynote address, highlighting the fact that performance excellence is all about "process" - the way that work gets done - and that the evening's award winners had demonstrated processes that deliver outstanding value for all of their stakeholders.  It is a privilege for GRQC to recognize these organizations that have contributed to the economic vitality and quality of life in the Greater Rochester Area.

One of the evening's many highlights was the awarding of the George K. Hansen Exemplar Award to ESL Federal Credit Union. This award is given infrequently, and only to a team or organization which has demonstrated true superiority in its processes and results.  Congratulations to the entire organization at ESL!
