Team Excellence Award

GRQC seeks to understand how teams are formed and led, as well as the tools and methodologies used to successfully achieve team goals. Methodologies may include, but are not limited to: Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management, Agile or other proven methods. GRQC evaluates best practices and how team members collaborate to deliver measureable results.
The Team Excellence Award criteria are structured as questions that guide applicants and GRQC’s reviewers in identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. GRQC does not dictate how teams should be led, structured or managed. Applicants submit a comprehensive written application, host a site visit, and receive an objective feedback report following the awards presentation.
Applicants describe the team’s goals, methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, project management, Agile, etc.) and results in their submission. Recognition is based on the effectiveness of the approach, its deployment, and the results achieved. GRQC encourages the use of innovative team and project management methods that have proven to deliver better results.

After You Submit

After applications are submitted, reviewers will be assigned. The designated reviewer(s) will contact you directly to schedule the site visit. Visits may be conducted in person or virtually, based on what works best for both the applicant and review team.
The purpose of the site visit is to corroborate the information submitted, clarify any questions, observe relevant practices in action.
Following the site visit, the review team will apply the scoring to complete the formal evaluation process.
Our video editor Jeff Turof will contact you in July or August to schedule recording of a short video clip promoting your team’s work. This clip will be compiled into a full video with all other applicants to be shown at the Showcase event in October.
