About the Event

About the Program

It's easy for any organization to mistake activity for progress.  In healthcare, it's critical to avoid this common trap.

The nursing profession has adopted outcome measures to guide the pursuit of excellence in both education and practice.  This approach underscores the core commitments of the largest and most trusted segment of the US health care workforce -- high quality compassionate care, ending health disparities and advancement of the profession. These measures also fuel advocacy for a new policy agenda to achieve health equity through the efforts of nurses and to strengthen the nursing workforce in recognition of the impact of the pandemic.

This presentation will provide an overview of significant outcome measures that drive continuous quality improvement in nursing education and practice. It will also include a brief overview of the 2021 Consensus Report from the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine that advocates for the future of nursing.

We invite everyone to consider how this approach to outcome measures could benefit patient/customer-centric organizations from all sectors – especially yours!
