Learn about Hillside's award-winning LSS program and the impact it has had on their operations

Lean Six Sigma - It's Not Just For Manufacturing

About the Program

In 2012, Hillside launched its Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Certification program, starting with a class of 8 Green Belt candidates taught by Darlene Ryan, then Director of Quality and Risk Management and LSS Master Black Belt. Since then, Hillside has gone on to develop a LSS Yellow Belt certification program and has successfully certified both LSS Green Belts and LSS Yellow Belts. Many of these employees have gone on to complete 2nd and 3rd LSS process improvement projects.

Join us as we follow Hillside's journey to launch and sustain a successful LSS process improvement program at one of Rochester's largest human service non-profit agencies. Come hear about the successes, challenges, and opportunities Hillside faced as they built a LSS program from the ground up. Along with an overview of their LSS program, Hillside will highlight some of their LSS projects and the impact they have had on business operations at Hillside.

For 185 years, Hillside has been a leading human service agency in New York State with services in Western, Central, and Southern Tier NYS as well as Prince Georges County, Maryland. Hillside provides community-based services, education, and residential treatment to positively impact lives, in partnership with youth and families who have experienced trauma.
